SCOUT SHORTS

Our Elks Lodge 330 has chartered and sponsored two scouting units for
over 30 years, touching the lives of hundreds of boys.
Boy Scout Troop 330 is currently led by Elks Brother Mike Woods as
Scoutmaster. The troop program is designed to teach youth: patriotism,
courage, self-reliance and kindred virtues. Emphasis is placed on the
Scout Oath and Law for character development, citizenship training, and
mental and physical fitness. Many activities include the great outdoors.
Cub Scout Pack 330 is led by Dr. Rick Azpfe as Cubmaster. The Cubbing
program largely centers around the home and family, where parents and
guardians assist the Cubs with projects and activities. Each week there
are neighborhood den meetings with adult Den Leaders. Then, once a
month, all the Dens, Cubs and parents gather for a big Pack meeting
which is filled with fun and recognition with awards and rank
advancements.
