OUR LATEST EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT
Several month ago, Bobby Edgar, a member of Boy Scout Troop #330,
embarked on the planning his project which would enable him to achieve
the highest award in scoutdom - Eagle Scout.
He approached us with his idea which was to landscape the area of the Lodge starting at the Bingo entrance and around a large portion of the rear of the parking lot, matching work that had been done in front of the Lodge. To accomplish this he had to 1) plan what the completed projectwould look like; 2) determine the type and quantity of materials to be used; 3) locate and negotiate with the sources of these materials; 4) identify people who would donate some or all of these materials; 5) recruit a workforce to accomplish the project; 6) consult with the Trustees to get permission to do the project; 7) get financial support from the Lodge for materials not donated; 8) get his crew together on the appointed day and supervise the work; and 9) finish the project to the satisfaction of the Board of Trustees. That’s a lot of work for a teenager!! And he succeeded admirably. Just take a look at the work Bobby and his crew accomplished in only six hours! Congratulations! We look forward to seeing you get your Eagle! |
