Prescott Elks Opera House Restoration Benefit - October 26th, 2003

The Geritol Hipsters - Gold Metal winners of the Department of Veterans Affairs, National Veterans Creative Arts Festival competition for 2001 and 2002. The group performed for the national show for the festival here in Prescott in 2001, and in Minneapolis, Mn, in 2002. The band performs locally and in the Phoenix area for Senior Expos, promotional events, private parties, civic events, and in retirement complexes and homes. Most of the members are active in other musical organizations including the college Big Band, the central Arizona Concert Band, other community band and private orchestras. The background and experience of the band ranges from Big Band era playing, and professional military performance to contemporary Jazz combos. The band plays a lively, fun variety of music with a  Dixieland emphasis.
